John Mayall OBE (29 November 1933 – 22 July 2024) was an English blues and rock musician, songwriter, and producer. In the 1960s, he formed John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, an influential band that served as a training ground for some of the most iconic musicians in rock history, including Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, and Peter Green.
