Anderson Paak discusses his Olympic-themed song
When Anderson Paak was tapped for an Olympic-themed song, the Grammy winner felt eager to record it.
“I was like, ‘Yo, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,’” Paak said in an interview with The Associated Press at the 2024 Summer Olympics on Thursday.
Paak, known for his eclectic mix of R&B, soul, and hip-hop, said he wanted to create a song that was both inspiring and motivating.
"I wanted to capture the spirit of the Olympics, the idea of people coming together from all over the world to compete and achieve their dreams," he said.
The resulting song, "Champion," is an upbeat, anthemic track that features Paak's signature soulful vocals and energetic beats.
"I hope it inspires people to push themselves and never give up on their dreams," Paak said.
